The Côte d'Argent refers to the Aquitaine coast in southwest France, stretching along the Landes de Gascogne, from the Gironde estuary to the Adour estuary, the gateway to the Basque coast. It is a rectilinear, sandy coast, bathed by the Atlantic Ocean which breaks in powerful rollers making the happiness of the surfers. It is bordered by high dunes (the highest in Europe), fixed by a forest of maritime pines (Landes forest) and sheltering numerous lakes and ponds.
